Finanz‘15 – a complete success

The doors have now closed following the successful conclusion of the first annual Finanz‘15 financial trade fair, which was held on 4 and 5 February at Zurich’s Kongresshaus. With 6300 visitors in attendance, the exhibition was a complete success. Participants at the Professional Investors’ Conference on Wednesday the 4th, as well as those at the Public Day on the 5th, were all of the same opinion: combining the previously separate “Funds” and “Structured Products” trade fairs of past years is a great idea. The merger of the two events makes it possible to offer an even broader and more exciting programme.

Especially popular amongst the visitors was the appearance by Marc Faber, publisher of the “Gloom, Boom & Doom Report”. But the top-flight panel consisting of State Secretary Jacques de Watteville (head of the State Secretariat for International Financial Matters), Prof Tobias Straumann (economic historian, University of Zurich) and Pierin Vincenz (CEO, Raiffeisen Group) also filled the conference hall to full capacity. After all, who would not be interested in hearing about the future of the Swiss financial centre?

Be it with the questions of visitors in regard to certain financial products, or at the open forums where everyone could contribute their thoughts, one thing was clear: the motto of the event – “Investments of the Future” – was of tremendous interest to all in attendance.

Encouraged by the success of this convention, the organisers were all the more pleased to announce the dates for next year’s event, Finanz‘16. It will be held on 3 and 4 February 2016, with Wednesday the 3rd once again being the day for the Professional Investors’ Conference and Thursday the 4th the Public Day.
