Focus on broad communication of knowledge and attractive keynote speakers

On October 23 and 24, 2013, the structured products industry will be showcasing itself to the general public at Zurich’s Kongresshaus. The format of the event has been further developed, and the focus will now lie on the communication of knowledge relating to structured products and an exchange of views with interested investors. The Forum is being organized jointly by Scoach Switzerland Ltd and the Swiss Structured Products Association (SSPA).

«The industry trade fair has attracted well over 20,000 visitors over the last six years, and has helped bring structured products to a wider audience. Based on this success, we are now developing the event into an even more effective platform for conveying knowledge and facilitating exchanges of views», explains Daniel Sandmeier, President of the Swiss Structured Products Association (SSPA). «While communicating knowledge was already an important part of our framework program, it has now become the main feature», adds Christian Reuss, CEO of Scoach Switzerland Ltd.

The focus lies on communicating expertise on this asset class generally, highlighting the different ways in which it can be applied in the current investment environment, and explaining the characteristics of the different product categories. Knowledge will be communicated through workshops in an arena format. Highlights of the program include discussions involving an impressive array of panelists and the appearance of a number of renowned keynote speakers. For example, one of the speakers at this year’s forum will be German economist Otmar Issing, a former Member of the Board of the European Central Bank.

Principal sponsors of the newly designed Structured Product Forum include Bank Vontobel and EFG Financial Products, which will trade as «Leonteq» from mid-2013 onward.
