Picard Angst is new buy-side member of the SSPA

The Swiss Structured Products Association (SSPA) welcomes Picard Angst to its ranks as an active member and new buy-side representative. Following the accession of Picard Angst, the Association now has seven buy-side members and represents the entire length of the output chain even more effectively, from issuers through markets to buy-side and partners.

Zurich, 09 February 2017. The Picard Angst Group, which is based in Pfäffikon SZ, Geneva and Dubai, was founded in the year 2003 as an independent solution provider for structured products, asset management and commodities. It advises institutional clients on setting up and issuing structured products, on analysing global commodity markets as well as on the strategic asset allocation of commodities and commodity derivatives.

Maurice Picard, CEO of Picard Angst, issued the following statement about joining the Association: “We aim to offer our clients tailored, innovative solutions. Particularly in the current environment, structured products offer interesting opportunities to take account of new requirements and market developments. As active solution providers, we are keen to help shape the Swiss financial centre, thereby contributing our know-how as effectively as possible. For this reason we are looking forward to conducting efficient dialogues within the SSPA, enabling the Association to continue setting industry standards.”

Active industry association with 30 members

SSPA represents the interests of the most important market participants, which together cover more than 95 percent of the market volume for structured products in Switzerland. SSPA President Georg von Wattenwyl added: “We are delighted to welcome Picard Angst as a new member. This will enable us to strengthen our buy-side with long-standing and specialised expertise.”
